After receiving Christ at a revival in my home church, one challenge stands out as the most difficult and formative of my childhood. My weight was a constant struggle, one which I spent many hours in prayer about. The process of getting in shape and the moments of ridicule I recieved from other children. Through this time I grew closer to God and developed much compassion toward the struggles of others.

One of the most important influences in my life has been my family. My parents consistent support has been key in my learning, growing, and experiencing life. I also have a wonderful brother and sister who are both married. Thanks to them and their spouses, I have 5 nephews and 2 neices.

Nothing is quite like Volleyball in the mud. Granted, it's not something I would want to do every day, but traditions like this are what made my experience at Carson Newman college extraordinary. I was truly blessed by the people I knew there and the activities I was involved with. BSU, now called Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM), was my most noteworthy commitment.

Currently I am enrolled in Truett Seminary which is located in Waco Texas. I am working to develop the gifts and knowledge God has blessed me with in honor of a call to ministry I felt in high school. I realize ministry will not always be easy, but it is the only life path in which I could be content and fulfilled. On August 1, 2004 I was licensed by my home church in Thomasville GA for ministry.

As the M-Fuge page shows, camp has been a big part of my life. In fact, it was at a camp called Crosspoint where I first discovered my love of tennis. When my middle school started a team, I immediately joined up. I played all through high school, having the privelidge of playing on three teams that won region championships and one that made it to the final four. Tennis also opened the door for another of my formative involvements, FCA. I was able to serve in leadership during high school and it facilitated some of my most meaningful moments.

Seven little rugrats are running around in my family now. I love my nieces and nephews. Only one is pictured above, but they are all wonderful. They range from a few months to seven years old.
