Keep an eye out for mor sculptures such as the climber above as I begin working professionally!

I created this sculpture at Mount Rushmore during my pre-seminary travels. It took me between an hour and an hour and a half to create.
In my world, if it's worth doing then it's worth sharing. I have taught basic balloon sculpture to classes on many occasions. Virtually every week I have worked with M-Fuge I have taken time out during free time to teach. During the year I often teach at churches and to other groups interested in learning. Balloons have the potential to be an extraordinary ministry and I hope I have passed it on to others who treat it as more than a momentary experience.
This fellow was one of my first ridiculous balloon sculptures. I made it in college. It was originally a costume, but when I realized the helmet wouldn't fit my head, I decided it sould be better to create an entire scuba diver than allow the mask to go to waste.

Isn't it amazing how at times the things one person will consider an accomplisment, most others have never thought of? Here you see me in the process of making a balloon dog while riding the Batman at Six Flags over New Orleans. I began inflating the balloon after heading down the first hill and managed to finish before the ride stopped.
If you've ever tried to inflate a good brand of these long skinny balloons, then you know most people find it extremely difficult. All the more reason I am proud of this skill I've developed over the years. Scroll over the image to view the inflated balloons. Then, you may click on the link below to witness double nostril inflation in video form. They may be odd skills, but they are a handy tool in ministry.
